Promotional Gift Award 2014

Did you know that gin can light up when touched? That pictures can be printed on m&ms? That you can buy cake in a jar? Edible cookbooks? Bags made out of old work clothes? And that all of these things make distinguished promotional products?

All of these products were among the prize-winners of the Promotional Gift Award 2013. The Promotional Gift Award has been organised by the Cologne-based publishing company, WA Publishing, since 2003 and it pays tribute to innovative promotional products and campaigns.

No other form of advertising has a higher level of acceptance among the recipients than promotional products. Promotional products are effective – even in the era of digital communications, people still value tangible items. Haptic is hip. There is a huge range of products that are ideal for corporate communication purposes – here the Promotional Gift Award acts as an orientation tool for companies and marketers, setting apart products that an expert jury have found to be especially creative, communicative and clever.

Send in your entry

With immediate effect, advertising agencies and designers, marketing departments and companies, manufacturers and promotional products distributors can enter their innovations from the haptic advertising sector for the Promotional Gift Award 2014. The communication prize is awarded in the categories “Give-aways”, “Communicative Products”, “Premium and Branded Products”, “Best Practice”, “Custom-made Products”, “Packaging” and “Customising Technologies”.

All of the submitted items will be evaluated in December by a jury comprising of industry experts. This year the jury is made up of five industry insiders from Germany, Austria and Switzerland: Nana Kampendonk (Volkswagen Zubehör GmbH, Wolfsburg), Eva Spahn (Lufthansa WorldShop GmbH, Frankfurt), Martin Zettl (marke[ding], A-Wels), Michael Mätzener (diewerbeartikel gmbh, CH-Schwyz) and Michael Scherer (WA Publishing, Cologne).

Prize-ceremony

The prize-ceremony of the Promotional Gift Award will take place on March 26, 2014 at the Haptica live in Cologne. Like the Award, the event, which celebrated its premiere in 2013, also places the focus on creative diversity and the concrete application of promotional products – the “Experience of Haptic Advertising” unites a trade fair with a lecture programme, special exhibitions, networking and the prize-ceremony and presentation of the prize-winners of the Promotional Gift Award. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3VMc2lJ7Adw
