With two embroidery seminars, Gatex, the training and further education centre of the Baden-Württemberg textile and clothing industry in Bad Säckingen, is for the first time expanding its range to include the topic of embroidery.
The cooperation between Südwesttextil and Aka-Tex already started in autumn 2021 with two events in Stuttgart and Schrozberg, Germany. Now, for the first time, the two partners are offering further training measures at Gatex.
Embroidery Starter Kit
On February 14, 2022, the seminar “Embroidery Starter Kit” is on the agenda. Seminar leader is Dennis Ermert, a textile technician and master embroiderer with 40 years of professional experience. He will show how to work successfully with threads, needles and embroidery machines. The event is aimed at newcomer in embroidery, but also interested textile professionals from the fields of textile decoration, design, product development and sales who want to gain an insight into the finishing techniques of embroidery.
Tips, tricks and fine tuning in embroidery
On the second day, February 15, 2022, it’s all about “Tips, tricks and fine tuning in embroidery“. This workshop is all about the embroidery in daily practice.
Beginners, advanced embroiderers and other interested people will learn from Dennis Ermert how to operate the machine, how to handle the materials correctly and what role a good embroidery file plays. The speaker and embroidery expert will guide the participants in this workshop and teach them a lot of tips and tricks all around embroidery.
Embroidery materials from Gunold and a single-head embroidery machine from the German machine manufacturer ZSK will be available at both events. The embroidery machine is provided by Walz Solutions GmbH from Pfullingen.
