WDN GmbH offers BadgeTex, a fabric which reduces embroidery distortion.
No specific direction
Normal embroideries often cause material distortions, which can cause displacement and crinkles in the fabric. The special weave structure of BadgeTex, a product from Schneider & Wohlenberg, creates a fabric that has no specific direction to work on. The embroidery thread has enough space, which reduces the distortion of the embroidery. Even with small letterings or very fine embroideries, the results will be very accurate and professional. BadgeTex can be hooped in any direction.
Dimensional stability, but soft
With a pressed-on backing of 100% polyester of 100 or 180 g/m2, BadgeTex assures additional dimensional stability in the fabric. The fabric gets more volume and dimensional stability, thus absorbing peaks of the thread tension and reducing distortion. The fabric remains very soft, with a textile touch and a silky shine.
Optimal properties for professional use
BadgeTex is ideal for laser cutting or hot cutting and is very well suited for sublimation printing. The cutting edges can be thermally sealed during the heat-cutting process, while the bond between the fabric and the backing remains intact. BadgeTex is currently available in 20 colours. It is also possible to order individual custom colours with a minimum order of a roll length of 7 metres. All colours can be washed at up to 60ºC and have proven to have a good chlorine-resistance.
