The trade show trio of PSI, PromoTex Expo and viscom planned for 18-20 May, 2021 will now take place this year online. Under the name “PSI Digital”, the three trade shows for the promotional products, textile and finishing industries will offer a top-class online programme – live and on-demand – from 19 to 21 May, 2021. In addition, there will be a Digital Friday on every second Friday of the month from June until the next face-to-face event in January.
“We know how important it is to bring the promotional products industry together for a much-needed face-to-face exchange. However, pandemic restrictions and delays in vaccine-programs are not providing the required security for an on-site event with physical visitor-attendance in May,” saide Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein, CEO of organiser Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH. “In addition, the possible reopening of events will be discussed at the earliest at the next meeting of the heads of states on 23 March. We have therefore decided, together with our exhibitors and partners, to unite industries virtually this year and return to the Düsseldorf exhibition centre with PSI in January 2022”, Binder-Krieglstein continued.
Meanwhile, Messe Düsseldorf also announced that the trade show for the glass industry, glasstec, scheduled for mid-June, is also postponed due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic.
From 19 to 21 May 2021, Wednesday noon to Friday noon, PSI Digital will offer a virtual trade show experience for 48 hours. Visitors worldwide will have access to various PSI sourcing tools, product presentations and a top-class programme, including live interviews and panel discussions broadcast on “PSI TV”. Online seminars, interviews and how-to videos on key industry topics will also be found on-demand.
All trade show visitors – i.e. also non-members – will receive a free 48-hour access pass to the PSI Product, Supplier and Distributor Finder. “This provides all visitors with the best tools for acquisition and lead generation free of charge for two days. By giving the industry a voice and a digital platform on which to exchange ideas, network and educate themselves at a European level in these difficult times, we are contributing to important community building,” said Petra Lassahn, Director of PSI. From June until the trade show in January 2022, the digital trade show will be extended to include ‘Digital Fridays’. In concrete terms, this means that on every second Friday of the month, all participants will have access for one day to a broad programme as well as the same sourcing and networking offers as in May.
PSI 2022 from 11 – 13 January
The next on-site PSI with physical visitor-attendance will take place from 11 – 13 January 2022 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre, marking the traditional kick-off for the promotional products industry’s coming business year.
