Sawgrass launched its new Virtuoso 25-inch HD Product Decorating System featuring the Sawgrass VJ 628 Printer. This newest addition to the company’s Virtuoso HD Product Decorating System has been created specifically for larger format and high-volume production.
“Sawgrass developed the Virtuoso 25-inch (630 mm) HD Product Decorating System in direct response to dealer and end-user requests for an alternative to the current 24-inch (610 mm) aftermarket solutions,” said Sawgrass President Darcy Mauro. “We worked with Mutoh to develop this all-new system, which offers a wider print area and brings the power of our desktop Virtuoso HD Product Decorating Systems to its next evolution.”
The Virtuoso 25-inch HD Product Decorating System is the first new addition to Virtuoso line, enabling the company to offer a larger format sublimation solution for additional markets. Featuring Virtuoso’s full suite of included products, this system is ideal for interior signage, fine art and photographic reproduction or high volume production of personalised gifts and promotional products.
Sawgrass VJ 628 Printer
The Sawgrass VJ 628 25-inch printer delivers prints up to 1440 x 1440 dpi and features Mutoh’s patent-pending i2 Intelligent Interweaving printing technology, which virtually eliminates horizontal and vertical banding. With a maximum print area of 24.4 inches (620 mm) on 24.8-inch (630 mm) media, the VJ 628 is the only printerof its size that enables a full-bleed print on 24-inch (610 mm) products. This, combined with an industrial-grade printhead built to last even in the most-demanding production environments, makes the VJ 628 a unique combination of extreme versatility and value.
SubliJet-HD Ink
Sawgrass’ SubliJet-HD high-yield gel formula inks come in single-use closed cartridges for the VJ 628’s eight-colour and dual CMYK capabilities. These high-density inks have been designed to work specifically with the VJ 628 to achieve resolution up to 1440 dpi and an expanded gamut up to 548,000 colours. Count on SubliJet-HD for rich blacks, neutral greys and dazzling, photo-quality reproduction at the lowest cost.
CreativeStudio Design Suite
Available exclusively with Virtuoso HD Product Decorating Systems, CreativeStudio is Sawgrass’ online design software and stock design library, developed to help creative entrepreneurs quickly and easily produce transferable images that keep customers coming back for more.
Advanced Print Software
The Virtuoso 25-inch HD Product Decorating System offers several advanced print and colour management options to ensure optimal performance and colour. The PowerDriver v4 for Windows OS works with desktop graphic design programmes such as Adobe products and CorelDRAW applying colour and print management for optimised printing with VJ 628 printers, SubliJet-HD inks and sublimation substrates.
WinProfile for Ergosoft and Wasatch RIPs for Windows OS delivers rich, vibrant colour across a wide variety of image types through printers. CS Print and Color Manager for Windows is designed specifically to enable the VJ 628 to print graphics created in CreativeStudio Online Designer.
