New Brother DTG GTX Printer

Brother 1Brother DTG has released its next generation of digital direct-to-garment printers with the GTX printer. The GTX industrial print heads, developed by Brother, contain with 1680 nozzles per printhead much more nozzles than its previous print heads. This allows for prints at 1200 x 1200 dpi in a single pass resulting in high quality prints at massproduction level speed.
This makes the Brother GTX printer 2 to 3 times faster than the previous model GT-381.

The GTX’s new design stacks the white print head behind the CMYK so when the platen comes out, the design is fully printed. The print driver can be set to pause for a specified length of time between the laydown of the white underbase and colors. This allows for the printing of traditionally difficult fabrics that absorbs more ink.

You will experience less maintenance and downtime due to nozzles clogging with the new white ink circulation system, which keeps the white ink in suspension, and wet capping station that helps eliminate the ink from drying on the bottom of the nozzle plate.

With Graphix Lab, new proprietary printing software that comes free of charge with the GTX, you will be able to import artwork, add text, rotate/size/position elements and apply artistic effects. Both Graphix Lab and the GTX print driver are available for Mac and PC operating systems.

Large Designs

With this new machine you can print larger designs on a wide range of substrates. The print area is 16 by 21 inches (40.64cm x 53.34cm), the largest of any Brother DTG machine. As with earlier models, Brother created the GTX print heads to have a large print head-to-substrate gap, that makes it easier than ever to print over seams, pockets, zippers and other challenging products with a maximum thickness of 30mm. In addition to shirts, the GTX can be used to decorate a variety of headwear, shoes, tote bags and bulky apparel such as hoodies and jackets.

Brother DTG also has released a new ink system with the GTX printer. Innobella Textile waterbased pigment inks have a larger color gamut, a very high washability (approved by the AATCC) and are Oeko-Tex Eco-Passport certified and CPSIA compliant.

Brother DTG stands behind its new GTX with a one-year warranty incl. print heads.
