M&R introduces M-Link X

M&R introduces the M-Link X Direct-To-Garment printer. It’s the manufacturer’s aggressively-priced high-speed version of M-Link.

M-Link X prints full-size images on white shirts in 30 to 45 seconds and full-size images on dark shirts in less than a minute. Those high speeds combined with phenomenal print quality make M-Link X superior to Direct-To-Garment digital printers costing more than three times as much, according to the company.

Image quality

M-Link X’s image quality is made possible by M&R’s proprietary i-Color RIP Software, exclusive Absolute Position Technology (APT), and DuPont Artistri Brite digital textile inks. In no time at all, users can be turning out amazingly sharp text and line art with remarkable blending and photographic transitions. Print modes include conventional two-pass printing; bi-directional Y-axis printing; and OPEP, or One-Pass Express Printing.

Saving ink

On black garments, Black Color Mode prevents the printer from laying down white underbase and black ink on black image areas. On coloured garments, Economy Color Mode prevents the printer from laying down white underbase where black will be printed. This saves ink and increases print speed, but the main benefit is images far superior to other direct-to-garment methods—and printed garments that are softer, more breathable, and much closer to water-based screen printing.

“M-Link X sets a new standard for speed, price, and image quality,” says Geoff Baxter, director of M&R’s Digital Products Division. “It isn’t the only printer for high quality images. And it isn’t the only high-speed printer. However, it is the only affordable high-quality, high-speed printer. M-Link X is an incredible value.”
