Augmented Reality on clothing

The company VERSvdPERS has introduced clothing with interactive prints based on Augmented Reality.

Mirjam Buter of the Dutch company says, “We add experience to promotional and corporate clothing by creating an additional virtual layer on the clothing, which becomes visible with a smartphone or tablet camera, thanks to a special app. If the print is scanned, the app provides additional information on a smartphone or tablet, such as videos, photos, links to websites and offers.”

Versatile

The interactive prints are versatile in use. Think of events, festivals, catering industry, sports clubs, gatherings, promotional launches etc. Petra Baars of VERSvdPERS: “Imagine: a festival employee wears a shirt with the logo of the event and an Augmented Reality designation. A visitor focuses his/her smartphone on the print and gets to see the programme. Or a waitress’ uniform in a cafe that displays, virtually, the menu of the day. Or you buy a shirt after a concert and it comes to life because an image from the show is linked to it. And even a shirt that when you point your smartphone at it, refers you directly to the webshop where you can buy the same shirt.”

Custom

What content is shown is up to the client. There are numerous options and combinations possible. The print on the clothing can also be used on other communications and then is also interactive. VERSvdPERS delivers custom work: from concept to design and implementation. The company develops for each client their own app with special technology.
