Juergen Hagedorn, founder of TheMagicTouch and industry pioneer of the digital image transfer business sadly and suddenly passed away after a short illness on 16 April 2022 aged 72.
Juergen was recognized as the original creator of coated image transfer papers. He established TheMagicTouch in Germany in 1989. The company is now represented globally in over 50 countries worldwide.
Born in Frankfurt am Main, he worked the first years of his career for leading advertising agencies before having the vision to create, invent and market the new digital transfer process that had emerged due to the arrival of the first ever color copier technology. With this new transfer process the decoration of promotional and gift products had begun.
Juergen was devoted to his family and is survived by his wife Monique and his children Peter and Vivian.
He will be greatly missed by all connected with transfer and decoration business.
