Epson DTG Printer wins Award

During Fespa Digital in Munich, the European Digital Press (EDP) Association celebrated the winners of their 8th EDP Awards. In the category ‘Best direct garment textile printer’ the award went to Epson with its SureColor SC-F2000 DTG printer.

Each year the EDP Awards recognise the best innovative technology launched into the digital printing market. With more than 120 entries suppliers to the digital industry in Europe had submitted their latest developments. Finally 28 products were awarded with a best of trophy in its category.

SureColor SC-F2000

Epson won in the category ‘Best direct garment textile printer’ with its SureColor SC-F2000. Featuring Epson’s TFP printhead, the SC-F2000 is capable of printing a single white t-shirt in 27 seconds when using dual colour mode and a dark coloured t-shirt in 111 seconds, says the manufacturer.

The SC-F2000 offers a resolution of up to 1440x1440dpi. Platen of 14 x16 inches (355x406mm) with frame are included. There is full front operation with a colour LCD panel. A  pre-treatment kit is available, which includes rollers and 20L of pre-treatment liquid for roughly 3,000 t-shirts. Different size platen enabling correct fit depending on t-shirt size and print area.
