Laser technology for accents

At theTexprocess 2017 cameo Laser Franz Hagemann GmbH will show in hall  6, Stand B75 how the textile and garment industries can use laser technology for adding accents.

Logos, letterings or individual messages

It’s all about laser technology meeting the need for more and different possibilities of finishing. With Epilog systems, all kind of materials can be processed, as well as a huge array of different effects achieved. Visitors of the trade show can observe live how logos, letterings or individual messages can be applied on textile products by the simple push of a button.

“With the Epilog Zing 24 or the Epilog Helix you can even apply different names simultaneously on different products in one single pass. Thanks to its depth, also bulky articles or assemblies can be placed in Helix, a huge advantage for the textile and embroidery industry,” explains Michael Ebel, Sales Manager of the cameo competence centre West and contact person at Texprocess. This allows personalization of large numbers of garments in the industrial production. Furthermore, the large working area of 609 x 457 x 273 of Helix enables processing of thick products, such as winter jackets.

Branding effect on fabrics

Ebel further underlines the high quality of the finishing, “This is exactly what our laser devices can deliver. They achieve a branding effect on fabrics like fleece, jeans, velvet or even on leather. This sophisticated tone-in-tone look is subtle, but achieves a great and lasting impact. Different than other lettering techniques, the water repellent properties are not lost.” The engraving is durable and doesn’t damage the surface of the fabric, which is a big plus, especially for processing softshell.

Achieve stunning effects

One highlight this year will be the finishing with applications. Ebel explains, “The special thing with laser is the diversity and possibility to combine it with other techniques and machines. We can cut out very filigree and detailed motives from a variety of fabrics.” These are applied in combination with embroidery machines and then decorated even further. The Sales Manager continues, “With this or with a rhinestone application made by laser, it is possible to achieve stunning effects. The devices are as easy to use as a printer, but offer a huge array of possibilities, which we are glad to show at Texprocess.” It is possible to operate the machine at the trade show.
