Cross-cultural network
For the past 25 years, Wilfried Kampe has held management- and executive-level positions within various industries dealing mainly with digital imaging and printing, digital colour supply chain, and media workflow solutions. He has also held positions in sales, marketing and product management, and was managing director of his own PR agency in the late nineties. Having served companies headquartered in Taiwan, the US, Germany and Israel, his business network includes many cultures.
Analog to digital
Kampe’s new venture offers strategic advice, management consultancy and business development expertise to companies which have to remodel their businesses because of print production going from analog to digital. He acts as a broker for technology partnerships between established European companies and Israeli start-up companies, relying on his network within the Israeli high-tech industry.
Present projects
Visscher-Caravelle, a leading supplier of car mats and textile products to the automotive industry headquartered in the Netherlands, has appointed Kampe to remodel operations at their subsidiary company, Maltzahn Carpet Innovation GmbH (MCI), which has the technically most advanced industrial carpet printing facility based on digital inkjet technology in Europe. The aim of the project is to establish MCI as a leading on-demand carpet print service for business clients and private-end customers while continuing to strengthen its hold within the hotel and commercial property segment.
The second project is EPDS, in which Kampe is Managing Director, Europe. The Israeli high-tech team of EPDS has developed an ultra-secure smart card, which not only has the form of a credit card, but ensures hassle-free credit card payment over the internet. The underlying technology is US Patent Pending.
