“Standing out of the crowd is in high demand”, knows Dietmar Birkler, Sales Manager of the cameo-Kompetenz-Zentrum Süd-West. Therefore, the use of laser technology is for textile manufacturers, distributors and manufacturers of promotional products very promotional and drives the sales. He will proof this at TV TecStyle Visions.
At stand D50 in Hall 8 Birkler will show with his team how garments, accessories and promotional articles become real eye catcher with the Epilog laser systems that cameo Laser is distributing exclusively in Germany and Austria. “Our devices decorate a great variety of fabrics, such as denim, velvet, fleece or leather but can also be used for other materials, such as plastics, wood or metal”, explains the cameo Manager.
Logos, names or individual promotional messages are easily placed with the laser and this with a very high precision. The laser creates a branding effect on the textile with a subtle, sophisticated and high-quality tone-in-tone look. “Marking with laser is permanent and keeps its effect also after many wash cycles. Furthermore, the surface of the fabric is not damaged during processing. Birkler: “This is a great advantage. Contrary to most other lettering technologies the water repellent properties of for exemple Softshell remain.”
The presentations at the cameo Laser stand focus on textile decoration with rhinestones and applications. “The special thing with laser is the diversity and possibility to combine it with other techniques and machines. Our epilog devices are compatible with all commonly used computer systems, also with Apple computers. The designs are developed with the computer in different sizes and at the push of a button the laser applies and cuts them”, says Dietmar Birkler. Afterwards, the motifs can be decorated with rhinestones using a heat press.
Furthermore, it is possible to create precise letterings on applications or badges made from synthetic leather, polyester and other materials in large quantities with the laser device. Then, they are applied with an embroidery machine on the carrier material. Also the precise placing can be done with the laser”, underlines Birkler. The application fabric and the ground fabric are hooped and separated by a thin aluminium foil into a frame that is compatible with the laser system and with the embroidery machine.
The epilog device cuts the upper application fabric with the laser beam. Then, the frame is removed and mounted on the embroidery machine, where the application is stitched onto the ground fabric. “With the combination of laser and embroidery you can quickly create great wow-effects”, he continues. He invites the visitors of the trade show to try the laser devices by themselves.
Cameo Laser will also be present on the trade show Wetec, which takes place at the same time. At Stand E23 in hall 4 the company will show how promotional experts create signs, light advertisements and promotional banners.
