Sign & Print Expo will take place again from 14 to 16 March 2023 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem, The Netherlands. The show will include the new feature ‘The City of Visual Communication’. With this new 2023 show, the exhibition builds on the original exposition cycle, on which the next edition will  take place in 2025.

Rowdy van den Nieuwenhuizen, Head of Event Sign & Print explains: “It is therefore a one-off that after an expo edition, another expo edition will take place a year later, due to the postponed edition of 2021. Visitors will get a sneak preview as a frontrunner to the busy exhibition calendar (FESPA and Drupa) in 2024. In 2023 there will be responded to current problems in the industry under the guise of the new theme City of Visual Communication.”

“Together with the industry, we will convert the challenges that are occurring in the graphic and sign industry into opportunities. How do we optimally respond to digitalisation, staff shortages, rising energy prices and the raw materials crisis. Through knowledge transfer we can turn current issues into challenges, on which visitors and exhibitors can discuss them with each other. Because what does the future bring and which new applications will be released in a short- and medium period of time? The newest raw materials, software, materials, design- and sustainability processes will be released on March 14, 15 and 16, 2023”, said by van den Nieuwenhuizen.

Sign & Print Exposition 2023 responds to the entire chain within visual communication. Van den Nieuwenhuizen: “We want to give the visitor a complete overview. An expression starts with the layout of the design and ends with circularity (= a second life). In between we will find the core of the exhibition with professionals in the field of prepress, press and after press.” In addition to the professionals from the graphic and sign industry, Adobe will be present to show the newest 3D design in the field of product development, retail, marketing and design. This results in unique developments in the field digital photography, Augmented Reality and sustainability. Sustainability is also the overarching element in the city park, which can be found in the heart of the exposition. “We inspire from the challenges together with our partners. You can meet well-known names such as Canon, Probo, Zünd Benelux, Vink, Print.com and Maegis,” says van den Nieuwenhuizen.

New theme 2023: City of Visual Communication

In the city, the current problems within the industry will be highlighted. From digitalization to the rapid increase of the energy prices and from the shortage in raw materials to opportunities in sustainability and circularity. Here you can speak about the challenges and solutions for an improvement in your future business.

In the City elements you will be able to go sightseeing into several specialities from the industry:

  • The warehouse: where to focus lies on the press-work on packaging; faster, more unique, but at the same time also more sustainable. Are you a converter of labels, a promotional packaging expert or a luxury packaging specialist?
  • The datacentre: what advantages do digital solutions provide? Does your company have the expertise regarding digital (software) systems or do you improve production processes in no time?
  • The printing house: what is the interest in printed matter in this (new) digital world? Exhibitors from the offset printing will show that printed matter does not perish but is actually essential for the creation of tangible moments.
