The next edition of Sign & Print Expo will take place on March 25, 26 & 27 in 2025. Under a new name, the organization will focus on Printing, Signing & Promotional Items. With two years preparation time, the organizer Easyfairs has plenty of time to further develop the outlines.
Sign & Print Expo 2023
“Proud: that is the word that is all-encompassing for Sign & Print Expo 2023. After corona and in times of crisis, we managed to organize a qualitative event to the greatest extent in which innovations on the stand of the exhibitors and an inspiring knowledge program were the central focus points. This attracted many visitors, more than 6.200. Also the quality of the visitors were praised by the attributable 100 exhibitors” according to Corine Visser, Head of Cluster at organizer Easyfairs.
A visual city full of experiences
Entirely according to the theme ‘the City of Visual Communication’, the visitor could make a city walk at Sign & Print Expo for three days in a row. This city walk guided the visitors along various areas where current trends, but also new developments were showcased. Correspondingly, there was a Foil press Expertise Square at the Printing House area on the initiative of Grafische Groep Matthys. There was a Schoolyard area in collaboration with the vocational schools Nimeto and Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht. Therefore, there was a veritable Wrap Garage area thanks to FESPA Nederland and the Circular City Park area with topical sustainability challenges powered by Probo. “The exhibitors have also contributed to make this years theme a success” as stated by Roos Ouwerkerk, Marketing Coordinator Easyfairs. “There were many fun initiatives such as the Barbershop by Canon and the Envelope Café of Dortland en van Beem”.
A vision of the future in the theater
In the Theater, the focus was on current challenges and how we can transform these into opportunities. Additionally, the expectations of the future were reviewed. Topical subjects such as sustainability, artificial intelligence and loyal customers were illuminated by experts from the industry. “For us it is important that the individuals and companies form the industry can make themselves future proof at Sign & Print Expo by highlighting the right subjects” according to Ouwerkerk. “The fact that the Theater was well visited, was the confirmation that the right themes for conversation were addressed”.
Passionated exhibitors, enthusiastic visitors and firsts
“We have a common interest, which is to help the sector prevail with future endeavors and providing the tools and tips to do so. This is our goal and it is fantastic to see how everyone contributes to this common objective”, as stated by Visser. This edition felt as a cozy Sign & Print Festival, but in the setting of a larger Sign & Print Expo as the industry is traditionally used to. In addition, it stood out that the printer manufacturers such as Roland, Mimaki and Printmachines4all brought their newest products to Gorinchem. “That this was presented on national level has been a great development”.
“Of course, it is a great given that we has a surplus of 400 visitors compared to the last edition, but what is more important for us, is that the first building blocks have been set into place for the next edition in 2025”. As a result, the first participants and ambassadors have confirmed their participation and therefore the possibility to collaborate.
Upgrade 2025 edition
“You probably have not missed that this industry is in motion in a positive way. We as well keep track of the trends and developments and try to adapt to them to the best of our capabilities. For that reason, we plan to expand the Expo with suppliers who supply machines and materials for the purpose of (personalized) promotional items. We already see a demand and supply in the field of textile, embroidery and drinkware and we are looking for an expansion with electronics, school and office supplies. Additionally, we are researching for the opportunities to expand the current signing offer with digital communication technologies such as digital and light signing. Think of digital displays, touch screens, holographic and LED. We originated from the graphic trade days and this foundation will of course remain to be an element of the future event!” according to Visser.
