For the third time, manufacturers, importers, promotional products agencies and distributors, and users and designers from Germany and abroad are competing for the PSI Sustainability Awards. This edition of the PSI Sustainability Awards 2017 will take place at the Kurhaus Wiesbaden on 8 September 2017. Almost 90 of this year’s more than 150 submissions were nominated.

The top prize is the PSI Sustainable Company of the Year. In addition, companies will be recognised for scoring the highest number of points in one of the seven categories: Economy, Ecology, Social, Ecological Initiative, Social Initiative, Product and Campaign. The awards are sponsored by KAHLA, Intertek and Touch more.

Nominations

The nominations were based on a transparent, two-step evaluation process. The first step consisted of evaluating and assigning a score to the ecological, economic and social certificates included with the submissions. The more demanding the profile of a certificate, the higher the score. A jury of experts then handed out additional scores in the categories Ecological Initiative, Social Initiative, Product and Campaign. In the end, all scores earned across all categories were tallied up in order to determine which company may call itself the PSI Sustainable Company of the Year.
