Deutsche Messe AG and Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH will for the time being not continue their cooperation for PSI Promotion World initially limited to two events.

This was agreed by the two companies after in-depth conversations. Both sides agreed that the participation of exhibitors was too low for a sustainably profitable event.

Poor exhibitor participation

PSI Promotion World, which was launched as a new event last year, took place alternating with the Hannover Messe and CeBIT. Both sides rated visitors’ interest as satisfactory by all means. The debut edition of the 3-day PSI Promotion World held as part of the Hanover Fair was attended by 10,200 visitors; at this year’s event, co-located with CeBIT, the organisers registered 9,815 interested visitors.

Both unanimously stated though that their decision was impacted by the poor exhibitor participation overall. 96 took part this year, 92 firms the year before – too few to work in a cost-covering manner.
