The decision was made on Friday, September 18 to postpone Printwear & Promotion LIVE! 2021 from the scheduled dates of Sunday, February 21 to Monday, February 23, until later in the year.
The February dates were giving serious reason for doubt with the organisation and exhibitors, due to the increased uncertainty, as a result of the recent rise in infections and local lockdowns, and with the winter still to come. Consequently, we felt that an early decision to postpone the event would be in everybody’s best interests.
The planned reopening of the NEC to host events from October has now also been delayed, with no update at present, on when the venue will reopen.
Option May/June
"We now have the option of running the show in either May or June and will gather feedback from our exhibitors and monitor the ongoing situation before making a final decision" says Tony Gardner, event director.
"We recently surveyed our visitors on their intentions to attend the show in 2021 and were very encouraged by the responses received". 71% of the visitors advised that their intention to visit next year has not been affected by the pandemic. 5% actually advised that they are now more likely to visit. 21% advised that they would be more likely to attend if the show was pushed back a few months.
"As organisers we currently remain optimistic that we will be able to deliver a successful, vibrant and dynamic exhibition for our loyal visitors later on in 2021" says Tony.
Further announcements on a future show will be made in due course.
