During the 100-year jubilee event in Bregenz, Austria, the Daiber company officially presented Kai Gminder as a member of the Executive Board. With his appointment, the fourth generation of the Daiber family is now involved in the management of the company.

Kai Gminder began working in Daiber’s sales department in 2004. His plans for the coming period are to increase the recognition of the Daiber brands Myrtle Beach and James & Nicholson among the end users. Gradually he will take on more new tasks.

Daiber is celebrating its 100-year jubilee with the launch of 100 new products and with the ‘Discovery 100 voyage’ on Lake Constance in Bregenz, Austria. On 19 April more than 300 guests enjoyed a dinner/entertainment show on board the Sonnenkönig and were amused by Master of Ceremonies Markus Lindner and magician and mentalist Nikolai Friedrich.

100 years of history

Central during the dinner show was Daiber’s 100 years of history. On 1 February 1912 Gustav Daiber established a trading company for textile accessories in Ebingen. In 1950 with Walter Daiber, the second generation took over the company becoming successful with the embroidery of ribbon for bras and necklines.

In 1974 Rolf Daiber, current CEO of Daiber, took over the company from his father and he started to collaborate with Asian companies, which was unusual at that time. The company expanded with companies in Hong Kong and Ireland and with new collections such as Myrtle Beach and James & Nicholson.
