Established in 1979 in Spilsby in Lincolnshire, J & A began life with just five staff printing heat seal badges for the UK laundry markets. The company rapidly expanded into other markets and countries and now employ 120 people and supply Worldwide.
In Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France and Italy the company has external sales presences for sales and service visits backed up with German/French/Italian speaking office-based staff.

Product range
J & A 's product range includes Flame Retardant transfers, Industrial Wash, Dye-sublimation blocking, Reflective and are widely used in all garment industries from laundries, workwear, Sport, fashion, promotion and leisure.

For technical, “multi-norm” garments, the Flame retardant transfers will not compromise the accreditation of the garments as the transfers are independtly certified for FR to EN11611 and EN11612.
Additionally they have certification for Chemical Splash (EN13034) and Anti-Static (EN 1149-5). These transfers are also able to withstand the rigours of industrial laundering; both coloured washing and processes for white garments processed with hypochloite bleach for, typically, food trade contracts.
Transfers with dye-sublimation blocking properties are esential for workwear companies selling softshell jackets and other coloured, predominantly polyester-based garments to prevent the dyes in the fabric discolouring the logo.
Lead times
J & A 's production times are usually less than five working days and urgent requests can normally be accommodated within a couple of days at no extra charge. Using their EU VAT and EORI registrations, delivery into France and other European countries is fast (typically next day delivery), economical and easy with no customs charges for customers.
Minimum order quantity is just 25 pieces with no set-up or artwork charges.
