Mimaki has appointed Mike Horsten as the new Marketing Manager of its European Headquarters, Mimaki Europe in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Horsten brings over 22 years of production and international marketing experience to Mimaki.

Horsten will be in charge of expanding the brand into becoming the industry leader in all three main target markets: sign graphics, industrial printing, as well as the rapidly growing textile and apparel world. Additionally, he will give advice and vision to Mimaki Europe and its resellers, converting their current business model in more sustainable and ecological ways, without losing sight of their business profitability goals.

“The addition of Mike Horsten to our marketing team will definitely take Mimaki to the next level, in terms of our abilities to meet the needs of our customers, to achieve more sustainable business processes, and to compete for the top position in the industry”, says Sakae Sagane, Managing Director of Mimaki Europe. “With his extensive knowledge of the textile printing industry, the timing cannot be more perfect than now, as we are about to re-launch our textile printers, the Tx400 series, at ITMA 2011 in Barcelona.”

Mike Horsten was a co-founder of the leading RIP software company ColorGATE, and the founder of one of the first green textile printing companies in the Netherlands.
