TV TecStyle Visions, will take place in 2012 from 2 to 4 February in Stuttgart. More than 200 exhibitors from all over the world will present their textile finishing, promotional wear and work wear innovations in exhibition halls 4 and 6 on a total of 20,000 gross square metres.

When finishing textiles, the technologies print, embroidery and flocking still play the largest role on the market. Over the past two years, however, two additional trends have emerged: decoration with rhinestone and small stones, and using laser marking. The topic was already ubiquitous at last year’s TV TecStyle Visions, and since then, it has turned into a true hype within the industry. In view of the trade fair organizers have therefore added these two topics to the list of topics of this international industry event. The topic IT technologies is also new.

Although decorating textiles with rhinestones, crystals and other three-dimensional objects is not new, in advertising and promotion, this decoration technology has so far only played a very minor role. Specialist retailers and the world of fashion have been familiar with this method for some time, and now it can also be used in the advertising industry because the technologies have become easier to use. There are now solutions, for instance, that are based on the principle of transfer printing and that permit the production of small quantities and even individual items. For medium and large quantities, there are specially developed setting machines that precisely apply the rhinestones and crystals onto textiles. More than 20 exhibitors with solutions for rhinestone decoration have already registered for the TV TecStyle Visions 2012. A special exhibition showcasing various rhinestone techniques during the event is also being planned.

Nowadays, laser technology for marking textiles can also be employed on an industrial scale for textile finishing. Essentially, this is a laser engraving technology where the surface of textiles is burnt off in a precise way without destroying the textiles. This creates effective decorations especially on high-pile fleece products, but also on denim, soft shell jackets and other materials. Many innovative companies already use this technology in combination with others and achieve unique rhinestone-laser motifs.

By adding IT solutions for small and medium-sized companies to the list of topics, the two organizers gmk Veranstaltungsservice GmbH and Messe Stuttgart GmbH are hoping to add further value for the more than 9,000 expected trade fair visitors. Presentations dealing with customer relationship management, ERP systems, online shops, accounting, archiving methods for digital data and others are planned.
