Industry news

Initially scheduled for February 1, 2 and 3, 2022, the CTCO Lyon trade show has been postponed to March 15, 16 and 17, 2022, due to the health context. Although the gauges announced by the Prime Minister on 27 December last do not concern trade shows such as CTCO, there are still too many uncertainties to maintain the event at the beginning of February.

C!Print Lyon, which is usually organized in conjunction with CTCO, will be postponed to 10, 11 and 12 May 2022, as an exception, for logistical reasons. The It will bring together all the players in small and large format printing, as well as visual communication professionals.

Every year, CTCO brings together all the professionals in the promotional products sector in Lyon. Nearly 260 exhibitors and more than 11,000 visitors come together to discover the latest textile collections and innovations in promotional products and business gifts, to meet their peers and to get new ideas.

Quality event

“This decision to postpone the show is motivated by our common desire to offer a quality event, at the right time for the industry and which takes into account the health context. It was taken in consultation with the market players who were concerned about being able to present their new collections in the first quarter, which is a key period for the promotional products and textiles sector“, explains Pierre Mirlit, the managing director of 656 Editions, the show’s organiser.

“CTCO is also more than just a trade show. It’s a crucial meeting place for promotional products professionals, which helps to boost sales by providing new ideas, and a pleasant event where the community likes to meet and share ideas. Moving our 2022 edition to March will allow us to keep the spirit that is ours, and that everyone appreciates, exhibitors and visitors alike,” he adds.

The 2FPCO, the French Federation of Promotional Products Professionals, strongly supports this decision: “CTCO is the industry’s key event and we welcome this postponement of the show to March with enthusiasm. This will allow us to meet in the best conditions, at a good timing and discover the exhibitors’ ranges and collections for this 2022 year,” says Anthony Villeger, President of the 2FPCO.

Edition full of new features

In 2022, CTCO will accompany professionals in this dynamic of recovery and transformation. First of all, with a large product offer, presented by a very large panel of suppliers: more than 260 exhibitors (including at least 50 new ones) will present their latest ranges of promotional products and garments ranges.

As every year, a series of conferences will address the challenges of the market and question the experts of the sector, through different formats (conferences, round tables, keynotes). While animations will make the visit more dynamic. Thus, the CTCO catwalk will make a comeback, to host the textile shows that were a great success in 2019 and 2020.

Several promotional textile brands will present their new collections. For its part, the Must Zone has been reinvented and will welcome visitors at the entrance to the show, highlighting eco-responsible products in particular, thus offering distributors quick and easy access to the most virtuous products from the leaders in promotional objects and textiles. The personalisation workshop will demonstrate the potential of branding as an additional tool for creativity. Everyone will be able to “test” the main techniques and leave with their own personalised product.

Finally, visitors will also be able to discover the offers of the 2022 exhibitors (product launches, innovative items, best-sellers) in a new animation: the “Speed Demos”. In a dedicated area, participating exhibitors will carry out product demonstrations in a creative way, accompanied by a presenter. The objective: ten minutes to convince and answer all the questions so that the audience knows everything about the product presented.

Professionals who have already ordered their Visitors accreditation will receive a new badge for the March 2022 edition in the coming weeks.
