Industry news

EXPO 4.0, the trade fair trio comprising TecStyle Visions, wetec and GiveADays, finally opened its doors again from 30 March to 1 April 2023 after a break of three years. The 303 exhibitors from 23 countries presented their products and services relating to haptic and visual advertising on an area of more than 30,000 square meters.

In particular, innovations and trends in the areas of printing processes, embroidery and textiles were presented. TecStyle Visions clearly demonstrated its
status as important European trade fair for textile decoration and promotion: around 12,000 visitors from 46 countries came to the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center. This year’s trade fair edition was therefore at the same level as the previous event in 2020.

Also the positive development of the catchment area of the visitors must be highlighted: around one third of visitors travelled a distance of more than 300 kilometers. The level of satisfaction among the trade visitors also increased still further.

“We are delighted that EXPO 4.0 enjoys such high trust within the industry and that exhibitors and visitors have remained loyal to us. This underlines the importance of a joint platform for the three trade fairs TecStyle Visions, wetec and GiveADays. We achieved first-class results despite the uncertainties during the last three years. We will continue to focus on establishing EXPO 4.0 as the industry meeting point at the strong location of Stuttgart and systematically enhancing our concept,” said Sebastian Schmid, Vice President of Messe Stuttgart, in summarising the pleasing results.

Varied accompanying programme

TecStyle Visions was enhanced by a meaningful accompanying programme: in the TecCheck Area everything revolved around innovative embroidery design this year in keeping with the motto “Pimp your logo”. Experts showed how technology and material can help to turn an embroidered logo into an exclusive eye-turning and unique company image or brand image.

The TecStyle Fashion Show was another highlight again. The colourful world of promotion wear, workwear and corporate fashion was presented there. Well-known international companies showcased the fashion trends of their textile labels four times a day.

The fair.eco.bio stand again focused on the topic of sustainability. Visitors were able to obtain detailed information about fair trade, sustainable products and ecological production processes, and also print their own sustainable T-shirt. The varied programme was rounded off by the TecStyle Visions Technical Forum.

The trade visitors obtained valuable suggestions there about textile decoration, best practice examples and interesting insider information relating to current developments in the industry.

Exhibitors’ comments

Augustin Dähler, Sales Manager, Melco International LLC: “TecStyle Visions was really well-attended and is one of the most important events for our company in
German-speaking countries. We will take home some very interesting contacts ranging from textile finishers and interested visitors from the advertising industry
through to car tuners.”

Ulf Schrader von Szalghary, Regional Sales Manager, Halfar System GmbH: “After the pandemic we were really keen again to exhibit at TecStyle Visions. We like the informal character of the trade fair and were able to finally meet our customers again in person. Our products could be touched and tested in a live setting – that’s simply unbeatable! We are very optimistic and are already looking forward to 2025!“

Marcel Schweigert, General Manager, Stedman GmbH: “Compared with the previous event, the number of visitors was lower, but the expertise that they
demonstrated on our stand was consistently high. We were visited by large and important companies as well as wholesalers from different countries, for example
Italy.”

Sebastian Schade, Head of Sales & Marketing, Madeira Garnfabrik: “We are delighted that TecStyle Visions started again and were positively surprised by the
large number of visitors on our stand. We meet our customers from the region here in person and use the trade fair for customer care. However, we also benefit from discussions with the industry.”

Stephanie Schnur, Managing Director, STAHLS Europe: “There is very different demand for our products. In addition to a large number of advertising engineers,
some start-ups also came to our stand. On the whole, we rated the expertise of the visitors here on our stand as very good. We came back to TecStyle Visions after
some years and were pleased to present our company here to the industry.”

Natascha Panter, New Business Development, Print Equipment GmbH & Co. KG: “Our stand was very busy right from the start of TecStyle Visions. We met some regular customers, but also new prospective customers on our stand.”

Christoph Dorsch, Sales Director, TB International GmbH: “We are very satisfied with TecStyle Visions. The trade fair attracted precisely the right visitors who asked specifically for our products. 2025 is now already a fixed date for our company.”

Ilona Losch, Head of Sales, IVM SignTEX GmbH: “The visitors here at TecStyle Visions were very diverse and we were pleased with the keen interest, especially in DTF as a fairly new process and in transfer presses. The trade fair is one of the most important platforms for our company since we also address smaller and medium sized companies here and can meet, in particular, our regular customers.”

Jonathan Klis, Sales Manager, Imbretex GmbH: “There is no other trade fair that fits in so perfectly with us as TecStyle Visions. I was delighted to be here again and was especially pleased with the keen interest shown by the visitors on our stand.”

Bernd Gröner, Managing Director, Karl Gröner GmbH: “There was great demand among the visitors to hold personal discussions and experience products first-hand. This was certainly underestimated by some exhibitors who were not present this year. TecStyle Visions was definitely worthwhile for our company. As things stand at present, we will exhibit again in 2025.”

Fjolla Rexhaj, Marketing Organisations Manager, Cotton Classics: TecStyle Visions was a total success for our company. Our stand was always well-attended and we received positive feedback from the visitors regarding our trade fair presence. We will definitely come back again in 2025.”
