After intense preparation, the German Akademie für Textilveredlung (Academy for printwear and promotion) will be starting its program in September, October and November with ten conventions, conferences, seminars, and trainings for those in the textile finishers industry.
Specialized training program
The initiator of the Academy, Stefan Roller-Aßfalg, has responded to the need for specialized training for garment decorators and textile finishers. As an expert in the textile finishers industry, he has developed a comprehensive, bundled training program consisting of ten events within the newly founded Academy. Among them is ‘Flock & Flex Convention’, ’Puncher Convention’, as well as ‘Mass Customization’.
Digital focus
Two of these events, ’Flock & Flex Convention’ and ‘Puncher Convention’ will be held in Darmstadt and offer all-day workshops with six speakers each on Transfer Printing and digitalizing embroidery designs. The conference ‘Mass Customization’ in Dortmund will focus on the IT- and Web-to-Print-Concepts for the automated and industrial production of personalized merchandise and giveaways in small quantities. In Munich, the Networking-platform ‘Digital printing Convention’ will highlight the practice of large-format digital textile printing.
Basic Seminars
PSI Institute in Düsseldorf will host two basic seminars: ‘Textile Knowledge’ and ‘Labeling of Textiles’. Both of these seminars are aimed at finishers and promotional product distributors. Other events will cover sublimation printing, screen printing, color separation and retailing in small businesses.
