2014 SGIA Expo Breaks Records

The 2014 SGIA Expo attracted more than 22,000 registered attendees and 541 exhibitors — a new record. Visitors could discover the newest devices and technologies on the market, as well as witness the latest products in action.

Regarding garment decoration there were not many machine launches, but nevertheless there were interesting things to discover. Like M&R’s i-Image STE, the world’s first all-in-one computer-to-screen (CTS) imaging and UV LED exposure system (patents pending).  Also interesting is the Cobalt laser machine of Inkcups Now, geared for making high resolution pad printing plates directly from the computer, without the use of film positives, chemicals or concern about depth control.

There were also some new additions regarding transfer material, by Stahls’ International and Insta for example. In issue 4 (which appears beginning of December) of Stitch & Print International Magazine you can read the show report.

What’s more, the winners of the Golden Image and Product of the Year competitions have been announced.
