On September 16th and 17th, the wide range of products for both promotional and technical embroidery was displayed at the ZSK in-house exhibition, in Krefeld, Germany. Other suppliers in the market were also invited to inform visitors about their latest products.
Racer 1 XL
According to Mr Bien of ZSK’s marketing department, “There is a need for a single-head machine with a wide range of colours, because of the growing demand for multi-colour embroideries.” ZSK had the Racer 1 XL on show for the very first time, with its 24 colours and a large embroidery field of 650 mm × 700 mm. Also new was the ZSK Challenger flat-system series. The servo motor of both machines allows the full use of the existing torque. Therefore, it accelerates the border frame much faster, resulting in a higher embroidery speed at longer stitch lengths. “With the Challenger you can improve your productivity by 10%,” according to Mr Bien.
Bobbin Changer and software
One of the other novelties at the show was the new SKW 1-1 Bobbin Changer, allowing the changing of bobbins in one go, which minimizes downtime. Besides machines, visitors could also see EPC Win 6.0 designing software and the My.ZSK plant-information management system, which visualises the operating data of connected ZSK embroidery machines. ZSK’s open house, with over thirty companies, attracted 1,023 visitors from 37 different countries, giving the event a very international character.
