30th anniversary viscom frankfurt

The 30th anniversary of viscom frankfurt, from the 2nd to the 4th of November, celebrates the international meeting place for advertising technicians.

Tailored to advertising technicians

Visitors can once again this year look forward to a large assortment of products and services. Some 40 per cent of the exhibitors will present ranges specifically aimed at advertising technicians, and sign and illuminated-advertising manufacturers. Moreover, numerous well-known manufacturers of printing presses and signmakers will tailor their offerings to advertising technicians, as well as sign and illuminated-advertising manufacturers. Similarly, manufacturers of printing presses will present an assortment geared toward advertising technicians.

Featuring the slogan “30 years leading visual business”, a special area will be added to mark the 30th anniversary of viscom: the show & do arena in Hall 8. New life will be breathed into traditional technologies, because many of these are not only still relevant to today’s operations, they might even deliver a competitive edge.

Hands-on activities range from offering visitors an opportunity to design, print and install their own wallpaper to novel neon printing techniques presented. There will even be an antique engraving machine to grant visitors a look at engraving techniques of the past. Another presentation, in contrast, will be ultra-contemporary: a demonstration of how to use digital graffiti to visualise ideas and actively involve guests. Visitors can stop by a stand to print their own T-shirts, which will make a beautiful viscom souvenir. All viscom attendees are welcome to participate, watch and experience everything free of charge.

Storytelling for rooms

Rüdiger Maas, together with the industry initiative by the media-production trade association, will cover all things concerning interiors. He’ll focus on storytelling for rooms – analogue and digital – while answering the question of how advertising technology and visual communication can help to touch people. Plus, he’ll explore how rooms transform into an experience, what digital printing and digital communication can accomplish, and what kind of customisation options exist. Then he’ll address the issue of just how personal current communication may become.

Speakers Corner

On Friday, November 4th, the Speakers Corner will be the place to be for advertising technicians. The Interior Design focus day will illuminate, for example,  emotional room staging and all-encompassing experiences, the relationship between analogue and digital, and which factors require special attention when it comes to beautifying ceiling, wall and floor. Topics further include virtual brand worlds and real-time experiences, the link between digital possibilities and analogue sensuality, and how the digital printing revolution is shaking up interior design.

More programme highlights

Adobe and Corel workshops will be offered. Graphic designers and advertising technicians will receive an overview of both programs, along with helpful tips and tricks from experts on new features. The European Wrap Star is another highlight specifically aimed at car wrappers and experienced wrapping pros. For what will already be the eighth time, participants will get a chance to show off their skills and win amazing prizes in the five-round contest staged in Hall 8.

Happy Hour every day

To mark the 30th anniversary, viscom would like to thank all visitors and exhibitors for their loyalty by inviting them to a free reception featuring refreshing sparkling beverages. The Happy Hour will take place right at the trade fair on Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30 pm and on Friday from 3:30 pm.
