Stitch & Print International-issue 3 2022

In this edition

I hope that you have all enjoyed summer and have had some time to relax after busy (show) times. I was surprised by the wonderful embroideries and prints in France, directly made in the shops. Watch the photographs on our LinkedIn and Facebook pages.

It is such a delight that large international trade shows can take place again. Last June, FESPA Global Print Expo and Texprocess, Techtextil and Heimtextil took place in Germany without Covid restrictions. Both exhibitors and visitors were very happy to meet again after a long Covid break.

At FESPA Global Print Expo, the first-ever Sustainability Spotlight conference attracted a lot of attention, which underlined the priority now being given to environmental responsibility. During the show, FESPA also celebrated its 60th anniversary. We congratulate FESPA on having brought the decoration industry together for such a long time! You can read the show report on in this issue.

This time, Texprocess, Techtextil and Heimtextil Summer Special combined. At Texprocess, embroidery manufacturers were joined again to inform everybody about new products and company developments. The show was also a meeting point after COVID. At the stand of Tajima Industries, the new CEO Mr Hidetoshi Kojima was introduced to all visitors and distributors.

At Printing United the print community will be brought together again to experience the latest printing technologies and applications. During the new keynote sessions, impactful speakers will share their powerful stories and experiences related to the printing industry. At the networking pavilions, you will be able to get all information about specific industry segments and related applications such as, for example, packaging and mailing. You will find the show preview in this issue.

In this issue you will find more information about trends in embroidery threads and an overview of current embroidery threads on the market. Neon colours that were popular in the 80s are now back in style.
