Issue 3 - 2024

In this edition

In this issue we look back at drupa and Texprocess & Techtextil shows. I had never realized that the printing industry was that large till I visited drupa show in June this year. At this year’s show 17 halls were filled with printing innovations. 80% of visitors were from outside Germany with attendees from 174 countries.

At Texprocess and Techtextil show the number of visitors grew with 29 percent. In times of emerging AI technologies, increasing legislative requirements and high energy costs, both trade shows offered the markets an international marketplace for product innovations along the textile value chain at the right time.

In line with the popularity of sustainable clothing and headwear, this issue gives an overview of ecological garments and headwear. Bernd Seeger, Lucy Woodward and Sara Sanders Smith will also inform you about their popular ecological products and about trends in sustainability.

In this issue you will also find more information about sustainable headwear made of plastic bottles and fishing nets.

At the end of September we will launch our new Online Magazine Sustainability free of charge on our website.
