Indoflex, a well-known company in India for their International brands of screen printing inks recently signed a technical collaboration agreement with Kiian, Spa, Italy to manufacture their Manoukian water based Inks in India.

Indoflex are, according to themselves, the pioneers to introduce in India Plastisol Inks through Wilflex, USA, and water based Inks from Manoukian, Italy. Raja T. Velusamy, Managing Director – Indoflex Screen Print Supplies: “We’ve been working with Kiian Group for several years in India. The process of deciding to establish this new manufacturing plant with their technical collaboration in India took place since the demand for Manoukian water based inks have been increasing at a very good pace, which we were unable to cater.”

“The collaboration agreement was signed earlier this year after which the construction of the manufacturing plant was started near Tirupur. Here the international quality inks will be produced locally at European standards satisfying all ecological norms as demanded by major MNC garment brands. This will be a great benefit to the Indian screen printing industry and thereby the Indian garment industry is set gain the International quality of screen printing inks at the Indian prices,” said Velusamy.

Indian textile market
Indoflex is based in Tirupur, hub of the textile industry in South India. Garment exports to major international stores and brands forms the core occupation in this textile town. The company’s strategic location in Tirupur allows it the advantage. Tirupur exports garments worth around $1 billion to the premium stores in Europe & USA, providing it with the immense opportunity of catering to some of the biggest brands in the business.

“The market here in India has huge potential. By this plant we would be catering the whole Indian market including all the major textile hubs like Tirupur, Bangalore, New Delhi, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Ahmadabad etc through dealer/distributor network. We would be manufacturing and supplying good quality inks at affordable prices, after starting the production of Manoukian in India”, said Velusamy.

Kiian Group
Kiian Group is one of the leaders inside in the world of screen printing, digital and special inks. The company contributes in a significant way to its ‘worldwide’ success through the branches in Italy, Spain, France, The Netherlands, China & US.
