Industry news

Around 11 months before the next attended EXPO 4.0 trade fair combination (31 March to 2 April 2022), which comprises the trade fairs GiveADays, TecStyle Visions and wetec, the preparations are gaining momentum. A large number of exhibitors are intending to register for the trade fair platform for visual communication and haptic advertising. They are eagerly looking forward to being able to present their products and services again.

They include some new exhibitors who are relying on the trade fair as a proven marketing channel after the long forced break. Some exciting innovations are also emerging in the wide-ranging accompanying programme. One innovation has already started and will reduce the waiting time until spring 2022.

GiveADays idea generator

GiveADays also wants to bring manufacturers/retailers of promotional products and customers together in the year between the biennial trade fair, thereby providing marketing departments with new ideas. The project is called the GiveADays idea generator and is aimed at industrial customers in southwest Germany. By registering, suppliers will be able to contribute a promotional product to the idea generator box.

From then on, everything will come from a single source. The submitted promotional products will be sampled in the box and will be ready for dispatch, including the “package leaflet”, with information on the individual products.

Interested marketers and buyers can register via an invitation link on the GiveADays website and will then receive the box delivered free to their office or home office. They will obtain creative input for campaign planning in autumn. The contact data will be matched so that a consultation meeting can be held directly in the event of interest.

Stefan Pritschet, Managing Director of Pins & mehr GmbH & Co. KG: “GiveADays is the ideal platform for us to reach customers from the industry. We have therefore also been there as an exhibitor right from the start. We regard the GiveADays idea generator as a great opportunity to bring the haptic experience directly to interested parties. A very good tool until we can meet our customers again at the trade fair in 2022.”

Not just a vision at TecStyle Visions

Europe’s important trade fair for textile decoration and promotion will cover a broad spectrum in 2022. The exhibitors are finally feeling the urge again to hold live consultations and present new developments. “TecStyle Visions has always been a popular home game for us not only on account of its importance as the leading trade fair for textile decoration, but also due its geographical proximity to Ottersweier. Especially after the corona pandemic, we are looking forward enormously to the leading trade fair in the textile industry and will celebrate this accordingly with our largest trade fair presence ever. Our customers are also very excited about the presentation of product innovations and are looking forward, in particular, to personal expert discussions at the event,” said Mario Panter, Managing Director of Print Equipment GmbH & Co. KG.

However, new exhibitors are also looking toward Stuttgart and are planning their attendance at TecStyle Visions. This will promote diversity in the trade fair programme. The preparations for the Expert Forum and Fashion Show are already well underway. Other popular special shows such as Fair Eco Bio or the TecCheck Area are also assuming a more concrete form. Nicole Dalkolmo, Project Manager for TecStyle Visions: “Due to the many unknown factors for the restart, we are planning a safety net and a double bottom. We paid attention to larger distances when allocating floor space in the exhibition hall. The hygiene concept and the test strategy have long been prepared. Even if there are still some restrictions, we want to offer an extravaganza with exciting programme items. All our partners are cooperating and looking forward to TecStyle Visions. There will be some changes in the digital area. However, further information on these changes will only be available after the summer break.”

wetec becoming even more colourful

New programme item for wetec: the “Colour Change Experience” will feature for the first time in the programme of wetec 2022 in Stuttgart. This wrap event will comprise several competition rounds along with informative film and slide demonstrations. The organisers are MR Clipart and Messe Stuttgart. The Colour Change Experience will offer pure excitement on all three days of the trade fair. 16 participants will compete against one another in different disciplines over five rounds. The top three will receive cash awards to the value of €15,500, €1,000 and €500. Every day, new products and techniques relating to wrapping will be presented in five compact live demonstrations which will range from colour change, window tinting and stone chip protection through to digital printing and film wrapping of furniture.

The unique feature will attract new exhibitors to wetec in 2022. Well-known industry leaders have also indicated that they will be attending and are hoping for a successful restart in Stuttgart. The complete programme for trade visitors will be published in autumn.
